1. What services do you offer?
We provide behaviour consultation and direct in-person therapy services using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Services are individualized to meet each child’s unique goals and needs.  We also offer program coordination services for FSCD contracts -to ensure all aspects of the contract are met.

2. Do you work with FSCD funding?
Yes! We can direct bill to FSCD (Family Support for Children with Disabilities) or you can pay directly and be reimbursed by FSCD should you already have a contract in place with FSCD. We can support families through FSCD-funded behaviour plans as well as private services.

3. What ages of children do you work with?
We work with children and youth from early childhood through adolescence, depending on their goals and areas of need. Typically ages 2-17 years.

4. Where are services provided?
Services are offered in-person in Calgary, Airdrie, Carstairs and Didsbury Alberta.  This support is typically in your home, community, or other familiar environments that best support your child’s learning.

5. What is Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?
ABA is a science-based approach that focuses on understanding behaviour and teaching meaningful skills. It helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills through positive, evidence-based strategies.

6. How do we get started?

7. Do you offer parent or caregiver training?
Absolutely. Parent and caregiver involvement is central to our approach. We provide practical strategies and support so families feel confident in helping their child succeed.

8. How often are sessions scheduled?
Frequency depends on each child’s goals and funding plan. 

​

9. What makes Primrose Behavioural Services different?
We combine compassionate, family-centered care with evidence-based practices. We focus on collaboration, consistency, and helping children make meaningful progress in real-life settings.

10. Do you collaborate with schools or other professionals?
Yes. We believe teamwork leads to the best outcomes. With parent consent, we can collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure consistent support across settings.

 

11.  Do you offer direct billing to insurance?
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer direct billing at this time. Families will receive detailed invoices that can be submitted to private insurance providers for reimbursement, where applicable.

12.  Do you offer adult services?
At this time, Primrose Behavioural Services focuses on pediatric and youth support for children and teens up to 18 years old.

​

13.  Can we access services privately without FSCD funding?
Yes. We offer private behaviour consultation and therapy services at a rate of $150 per hour. This option provides flexibility for families who wish to access support outside of FSCD funding.

14.  Do you provide virtual or telehealth sessions?
Yes. We often use a combination of in-person and virtual sessions to accommodate busy family schedules while maintaining high-quality support. This approach also helps parents gain confidence and understanding so they can continue implementing strategies at home between sessions.

15.  Do you offer assessments or diagnostic services?
No, unfortunately we do not provide formal assessments or diagnostic services at this time.
If you are accessing FSCD funding, please note that FSCD typically does not fund the completion of formal assessments.

16.  What does a typical session look like?
Every session is individualized. Some focus on parent coaching and strategy development, while others involve direct work with your child to build communication, social, and daily living skills.

17.  Can you help us navigate FSCD paperwork?
Yes. We’re happy to guide families through the FSCD process, including documentation, goal development, and service coordination to make things as smooth as possible.

18.  Do you coordinate with my FSCD worker?
Yes. With your consent, we communicate directly with your FSCD caseworker and other team members to ensure services are well-coordinated and responsive to your family’s needs.

19.  Will you provide a Behavioural Aide or Behavioural Interventionist?
No, Primrose Behavioural Services does not directly employ Behavioural Aides or Behavioural Interventionists.

However, if Program Coordination time is included in your FSCD agreement, that time can be used to support the process of finding, interviewing, training, and supervising a suitable aide or interventionist to work with your child. We’re happy to help guide and support families through this process to ensure consistency and quality in service delivery.
